I’m considering upgrading my current DLP projector and came across the Newest Generation DLP Projector DMD Chip. I’m curious about a few things before I make a decision.

First, how’s the picture quality with this chip compared to older models? I’m hoping for sharper images and better color accuracy. Also, I’m concerned about sound quality—does this projector maintain a good balance, or should I look into external speakers for a better experience?

I’d also love to hear opinions on the overall system compatibility. Is it easy to integrate with existing setups, or can there be unexpected challenges? Lastly, are there any potential downsides I should be aware of, like overheating or issues with the thermal pad that comes with it?

Thanks for any insights!

So, here's the deal: this thing just doesn't play nice with my Optoma HD66. The description? Total letdown. The frame is way smaller than the original, like it’s meant for an old-school 4:3 projector instead of a 16:9. I mean, check out the pic – the original one in the bag looks way bigger than the one from wogonlamp or whatever they’re called. I had to rip open the packaging just to see it because it was kinda hidden under that heat sink putty they threw in. Super frustrating!

So, I got this thing that was supposed to be brand new, but it was pretty clear someone had used it before. There were smudges on the lens, scratch marks everywhere, and I even found thermal paste on the back! No way this is new.
