I'm considering the Sony VPLEW575 projector and would love your insights before making a purchase.

First off, how's the picture quality? I’m particularly interested in how the brightness holds up in well-lit rooms, given the 4,300 lumens. Is the WXGA resolution sufficient for detailed presentations or movie nights?

Also, what’s your take on the sound quality? The 16-watt mono speaker seems a bit modest, so I’m curious if it’s adequate for a small gathering or if external speakers are a must.

The system sounds versatile with the 2x HDMI inputs and the flexible zoom lens, but are there any potential downsides you’ve encountered?

I really appreciate any thoughts or experiences you can share!

I’m pretty happy with the projector overall, but man, the speaker is a total bust. It’s barely louder than my phone! I was really hoping to use it without needing an external speaker, but that’s just not happening unless you’re only showing it to a couple of people. It does take a little while to boot up, but once it’s rolling, it’s doing a solid job. The picture quality is bright and the contrast looks great!
