Never Have I Ever really made me disappointed

This is one the safest, laziest, and most generic pieces of media i've ever seen and can only recommend this show if you take pleasure in suffering.

First off, Never Have I Ever tries so so so hard to be inclusive and woke that it just comes off as forced, you're not giving minority groups a voice in hollywood by stereotyping them and making them one dimensional characters. in addition, the "comedy" aspect of Never Have I Ever is so politically correct that i only managed to chuckle a few times over the 10 episodes (not a laugh chuckle by the way, just a short whiff of air out of my nose). Never Have I Ever also made me really uncomfortable because the whole plot of the show is about 15 year olds trying to get laid. like why 15?? you couldnt at least make them high school seniors? like it was absolutely necessary for the plot that they were younger than the age of consent in most countries?? like dude what? the cinematography and production design is not even worth discussing and the acting is fine considering the awful script that was given to them.

Never Have I Ever really made me disappointed

if you want a show that brings attention to minority groups there's a lot better options out there, i recommend ramy (season 2 comes out this month!!).
