So, I just checked out the AKASO WT50 Mini Projector, and I'm still figuring out how to rate it as I go.

First off, this little guy packs a punch with decent brightness and contrast for its size. I was using a $100 no-name projector that had 1080p resolution and was pretty bright, but this one's a bit different.

While it claims to be 1080p, it looks a bit pixelated compared to my old LCD projector, which had a sharper and brighter image. The automatic keystone correction is cool, but it doesn’t work with HDMI inputs, which is a bummer. Plus, the old Android OS means many apps just don’t cut it. A Chromecast is basically a must here.

The remote is a pain too. You have to really press hard for it to register anything, plus it doesn’t turn on the HDMI input automatically. So, if you want to use it, you need to grab the remote every time—kind of lazy, I know.

In the end, it’s a solid projector, but since it doesn’t quite stack up to my old one, I'm returning it. If it had matched my old one, I would’ve kept it. So, I’m giving it about three stars. Wish it had better features, like a built-in Chromecast instead of the outdated Android system.

The TMY Ultra Mini Projector is my new fave! I loved my first two projectors, but this little guy is a game changer. I moved the old one to the garage for pool and video nights, but this one’s perfect for indoors. Super easy to set up—just plug in my Fire Stick, and boom! Instant big screen on my wall. I’m even taking it to work to watch MMA fights during breaks. It’s small, portable, and a steal for the price. I've already told all my friends and family to grab one. Seriously, this is the projector you want!

I got the AKASO WT50 Mini Projector for music festivals and raves to project cool animated gifs on the ground, but it’s not really cutting it for that.

It's a neat little projector, but it has a couple of annoying issues. First, the power cord is a DC barrel connector, so you need a wall outlet to charge it, which is a pain at raves. Why they didn’t make it USB-C so I could use a power bank is beyond me.

Second, you can’t just turn off the lamp to save battery; you have to shut the whole thing down, and restarting takes ages. You can close the lens cover, but it doesn’t turn off the lamp, which drains the battery fast. Without being able to shut the lamp off, you’re looking at only about an hour and a half of use, and good luck charging it without an outlet.

I did some digging and found a workaround by buying a special cable to connect it to a power bank. That helps a lot, so I bumped my rating to 4 stars.

Later, I figured out how to turn off the lamp through some coding magic, so now I can switch it on and off easily, which is awesome! I’d give it 5 stars for that, but since it’s not a built-in feature and could mess up your device, I’m sticking with 4.

Fast forward to now, it's been a hit at raves, but after 15 months, the battery swelled and won’t charge anymore, plus the power button is busted. I’ll have to hunt for a replacement battery.

On the bright side, I scored a new projector on sale, and the company added gif support to the EShare app, making it easier to add animations. So all in all, it’s been a ride!
