Recently, Yaber has unveiled its latest ultra-short-throw smart projector, the K300s model. Positioned in the mid-range segment of the ultra-short-throw smart projector market, this product is unlikely to pose a significant challenge to higher-end models such as Hisense's PX3 Pro or Formovie's Theater Premium. However, the K300s still stands as a commendable option for consumers looking to dip their toes into the world of ultra-short-throw projection technology.
The Yaber K300s employs an RGB triple laser light source, capable of delivering a brightness of 1,000 ANSI lumens. This implies that in environments with strong ambient light or during daytime viewing, the image quality might be somewhat compromised. For the best visual experience, a dark cinema-like setting is recommended. Similar to JMGO's O2S Ultra, Yaber's new model benefits from a 0.18:1 throw ratio, allowing it to be placed close to the wall while promising to project a 130-inch diagonal image from just 120 centimeters away.
In terms of performance, this DLP projector supports 4K decoding, though its native resolution reaches full HD at 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (1080P). The device also boasts a 1,500:1 contrast ratio, covers 150% of the NTSC color space, and claims to offer color accuracy below Delta E 1, ensuring "vivid colors." Additionally, it incorporates NavaGlow technology aimed at achieving "uniform visual effects." To enhance user experience, the K300s is equipped with a time-of-flight sensor and "advanced algorithms" for swift auto-focus and auto-keystone correction. Moreover, motion compensation effectively reduces image blur. Notably, the projector includes an eye-protection feature that automatically dims the laser light when someone approaches, safeguarding viewers' eyes.
On the connectivity front, the K300s offers an HDMI port, USB interface, audio output, and Ethernet LAN connection. It also supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1. Yaber states that the device comes with a "smart TV dongle" that includes apps like Netflix, providing access to over 7,000 applications and supporting voice control. For sound, the K300s features two 15W Dolby speakers tuned by JBL, which project sound forward and slightly upward for optimal audio dispersion.
Currently, the Yaber K300s is priced at $999.99 (approximately RMB 7,329.9) and is available for pre-order.
