At present, the mainstream 3D modes usually have two categories, which are divided into polarized 3D system and active shutter 3D system. So what are the differences between these two 3D modes?
1. Polarized 3D System
The principle of polarized 3D system is to decompose the original image. Putting the polarized mainboard through the screen can transmit two images with different polarization directions for the user. And when the picture is polarized, the naked eye can accept two sets of pictures, which can automatically synthesize 3D images.
Polarized 3D System Advantages
1). The 3D effect is better presented, and the image quality is more reductive
2). It will not be affected by ambient light images, more comfortable
3). Lower budget cost and mature technology
4). The viewing angle will be larger than that of the active shutter 3D mode
2. Active Shutter 3D system
An active shutter 3D system (alternate frame sequencing) is a technique of displaying stereoscopic 3D images. It works by only presenting the image intended for the left eye while blocking the right eye's view, then presenting the right-eye image while blocking the left eye, and repeating this so rapidly that the interruptions do not interfere with the perceived fusion of the two images into a single 3D image.
Active Shutter 3D System Advantages
1). It can be viewed in 3D in full color spectrum
2). It preserves full resolution (1080p) for left and right images
