Sensor Tower Store Intelligence data shows that Mihayo's "Genshin Impact" topped the global handheld game revenue charts with over $341 million in mobile global revenue in September 2021. China was the game's highest-grossing market, with 31.6 % of revenue coming from Chinese iOS, followed by the U.S. market at 21.7 % and Japan at No. 3 with 21 %.
Tencent's "Honor of Kings" ranked No. 2 on the list with $209 million in revenue, with 95% of revenue coming from Chinese iOS and 5% from overseas versions.
The other three games in the top five were Tencent's PUBG Mobile (combined with revenues from Peaceful Elite), NetEase's Harry Potter: Magic Awakened and King's Candy Crush Saga.
