System ExperienceI recently got my hands on the TMY Mini Portable Projector, and I have to say, the setup was a breeze. Right out of the box, it was just a matter of plugging it in and selecting my preferred language. I appreciated how intuitive the interface was; navigating through the settings felt familiar, making it easy to adjust the display size and input options. I didn't even need to crack open the manual—everything was straightforward, which made the whole experience enjoyable. When I first unboxed the OMAGISM Mini Portable Projector, I was pleasantly surprised by its compact design. It fit neatly in my hand, and I appreciated that it was lightweight, making it easy to set up in different locations around my home. The setup process was straightforward; I simply plugged it in, pressed the power button, and was greeted by a user-friendly home screen. Connecting to WiFi was a breeze, although I did have to navigate through a firmware update that took a bit longer than expected. Nevertheless, once I got through that, I was ready to project in no time.

Viewing Experience

Parameter
TMY Mini Portable Projector
OMAGISM Mini Portable Projector
Viewing ExperienceThe picture quality truly blew me away. I projected it onto a white wall, and even at a size of around 150 inches, everything looked impressively sharp. Sure, there were moments where some details appeared a tad blurry, but overall, I could easily read small text. The colors popped, and I loved how vibrant the images looked, even in a room with some light. It’s not quite the same as a high-end TV, but for a projector at this price point, it’s incredibly satisfying. The picture quality of this projector truly impressed me. I tested it at various distances, projecting onto different surfaces, and found that the clarity was excellent when I was closer at around 5 feet. The image size was substantial, even at 8 feet, although it did lack some vibrancy at that distance. The automatic keystone correction was a nice touch, as it helped maintain a straight image without much hassle. However, I did notice some flickering occasionally, which was a bit distracting during certain videos.

Other Experience

Other ExperienceUsing the projector has been a delightful experience so far. I love being able to connect it to my devices seamlessly, whether it’s my laptop or smartphone. The Bluetooth feature allowed me to hook up my external speakers, which definitely enhanced the audio experience. Although the built-in speakers are decent, I prefer the richer sound from my external setup. The noise from the fan is noticeable, but I found it manageable; I usually tune it out while engrossed in a movie or game.Using the projector was generally a positive experience, although I did encounter some quirks along the way. The fan noise was louder than I had anticipated, which became a noticeable factor while watching movies. I also found the remote control to be a little flimsy; the battery compartment broke on the first attempt to open it, leaving me concerned about its durability. However, I did enjoy the built-in Android 11 system, which allowed me to explore apps like Netflix and YouTube without needing additional devices.

Our Verdict

TMY Mini Portable Projector:

Pros:
There are many positives to this projector. First off, the portability of it is fantastic; it's lightweight and easy to carry around, making it perfect for outdoor movie nights or taking it to a friend’s place. The 1080P resolution is a game changer, and the support for 4K content is an added bonus. Plus, the price point is incredibly reasonable for the quality you get. The lens cap is a thoughtful addition, protecting the lens and reducing maintenance.

Cons:
That said, there are a few drawbacks to keep in mind. The lack of horizontal keystone adjustment can be a little annoying if you can't position it perfectly straight. I also wish the projector had built-in apps for streaming; I found myself missing that convenience. The fan noise can be a bit loud during quiet scenes, which might be distracting for some. And while the brightness is generally great, it does drop off in larger projections, so a darker room is ideal for the best experience.

Overall Evaluation:
Overall, I am genuinely impressed with the TMY Mini Portable Projector. It has exceeded my expectations, especially considering its affordable price. It’s perfect for casual movie nights, gaming sessions, or even presentations. While it does have its limitations, the value it delivers is exceptional. I’m looking forward to many more movie nights with this little gem, and I’d absolutely recommend it to anyone in the market for a budget-friendly projector.

OMAGISM Mini Portable Projector:

Pros:
One of the standout features for me was the compact size and ease of setup. It’s perfect for casual movie nights or fun activities like projecting digital decorations for holidays. The flexibility of connecting through multiple options, including Bluetooth and HDMI, added to its versatility. Plus, having a selection of streaming apps pre-installed was a definite bonus, saving me from the hassle of additional setup.

Cons:
On the flip side, the loud fan noise was a significant drawback, particularly during quieter scenes in films. I also found the remote control to be poorly designed, which diminished my overall impression of the product. The absence of brightness control limited my options, and sometimes the automatic keystone correction didn't work as seamlessly as I would have liked. Additionally, I was disappointed by the lack of a built-in Chromecast, which made me feel a bit restricted in how I could cast content.

Overall Evaluation:
In conclusion, the OMAGISM Mini Portable Projector offers a lot of value for its price point. While it certainly has its flaws—like the noise level and some design issues—the quality of the image and the ease of use make it a compelling option for casual viewing. It may not be a replacement for higher-end projectors, but for someone like me looking for a budget-friendly device that’s easy to transport and set up, it definitely fits the bill. I can see myself using this projector for movie nights, game days, or even just for some ambient projections around the house.

Alright, so let me tell you about this OMAGISM Mini Portable Projector. I’m using it just for some cool digital Halloween vibes, so that’s my whole angle here. Honestly, it projects super well and is bright enough to light up my spooky decor. Now, the fan? Yeah, it’s pretty loud, but honestly, I’m not too worried about that since I’ll be in a different room while it’s doing its thing. Plus, it’s small and a breeze to set up. Perfect for what I need!

Alright, so I just got my hands on the OMAGISM Mini Portable Projector, and honestly, I was ready to be disappointed. But aside from the fan noise, it’s actually a pretty sweet deal! The box it came in is small—like, under 6 x 6 x 10 inches—so it’s not exactly pocket-sized, but it’s definitely not bulky either at about 4 x 4 x 7 inches (not counting the swivel base).

It comes with a power cord (thank goodness, no weird external power supply), and a remote which you’ll need to grab two AAA batteries for (not included, of course). The whole thing weighs just over 2 lbs, so it’s super easy to move around.

I plugged it in, hit the power button, and boom—right to the home screen! First thing it asked for was WiFi, and then it wanted to update the firmware (you can skip this if you want, but who doesn’t love an update?). After that download, it went to install, and it got stuck at 99% for a bit—classic! Finally, it asked to reboot, and I was thinking, “Okay, let’s do this.” It took a little longer to boot up this time, so I figured the update went through.

Next, I projected an image on my ceiling (which was kinda fun), trying it out from 8 feet away and then 5 feet away. At 8 feet, the image was over 6 feet wide but kinda faded. But at 5 feet, wow! The image was way better, around 4 feet across. It can auto-correct for keystone too, which is nice.

Surprisingly, the speaker quality was better than I expected, and the image looked pretty good overall. There’s a focusing ring around the lens, so you can tweak it to your liking. It runs on Android 11, and it seems like it’s designed for multiple users since it didn’t require a login unless I wanted to hit up the Google Play store for new apps. Chrome was installed but didn’t work for me, so I think that might need a sign-in too.

You can connect wirelessly with Miracast or just plug it into the HDMI port. It doesn’t get super hot while running, but man, that fan noise is loud and only runs at one speed. The whole thing is made of plastic, including the base, but it feels pretty solid overall.

I’ve tried about nine projectors, and honestly, this one is probably the best bang for your buck. It can’t beat my portable laser projector, but that thing costs like six times more! If you don’t mind the fan noise, this projector is definitely a steal!

OMG, you guys, I just have to share this! The TMY Mini Portable Projector is seriously the best thing I’ve ever bought – and trust me, I’ve tried a bunch of them! 😂 Don’t even think about it, just grab one already! It works like a dream in any lighting – no hassle at all! Plus, the Bluetooth connection? Smooth as butter! I honestly have zero complaints!

Setting it up is a breeze, and using it? Even easier! It’s so lightweight and tiny, but it totally outshines my old $200 projector! The HDMI and USB ports make life so simple! Seriously, just get it now – you won’t regret it!

Hey folks! Let me tell you about this awesome little gadget I’ve been using – the TMY Mini Portable Projector. I’ve been firing up a projector almost every night for the past 5 years out on my deck, and this one? Hands down the best mini projector I’ve ever laid my hands on!

Right out of the box, it's super user-friendly. Just plug it in and boom, you’re ready to go! You pick your language, set up the display size (I just stick with the default 16x9), and you can tweak things like color and volume if you want. It even lets you choose your input source. I didn't bother with the USB port since it felt like too much hassle to drag my Fire Stick out to the deck, but I hooked it up to my laptop via HDMI like I always do.

And let me tell you, when I popped on a 4K video from YouTube, the picture quality was jaw-dropping! Seriously, the clarity was on par with my big projector, and that’s saying something. I’m out on my deck seven nights a week, rain or shine, and this projector held its own like a champ. They say it’s 12,000 lumens, but honestly, I don’t know how they measure that. All I know is the brightness is fantastic!

I also tried casting from my Samsung phone with Miracast, and it worked like a breeze. Didn’t even crack open the manual because I’ve been around projectors for a while now, so I knew what I was doing.

The build quality? Solid as a rock! It feels way sturdier than any other mini projector I’ve had. I didn’t even bother adjusting the colors because it looked perfect right out of the box. I did take a quick look at the DLNA feature, streaming some music from my laptop, and it worked smoothly. Just a heads-up, you need Windows 10 or 11 and a compatible modem for that to work, but I had no issues since my modem is up to date.

I’ve owned seven projectors, and this one is definitely one of the top contenders. It’s small, portable, and you can easily take it wherever – friend’s house, church, wherever! And one of my favorite things? It comes with a lens cap! That means your lens stays protected, and you won’t have to clean it as often like with other mini projectors.

So, if you’re on the fence about which mini projector to buy, trust me, you won’t regret going for this one at such a great price. It’s a total win!

OMG, you guys, I’ve got to tell you about this TMY Mini Portable Projector! It’s seriously the cutest little thing ever! The picture is crystal clear, and setting it up couldn’t be easier. I just plugged it in, hooked it up to my PC, and boom – it was like magic! The sound quality is pretty good too. Honestly, for such a tiny gadget, it feels super fancy without breaking the bank. The only downside? The fan can get a bit loud, but it’s not a big deal for me since I usually rock my headphones anyway. Highly recommend!
