The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Guide - Easily defeat the Guardians: Originally created to defend the kingdom, the Guardians are now mostly wrecks strewn across the plain of Hyrule. Some nevertheless remain active and prove to be formidable because of their laser attack which can knock you down in one blow.
While they are very resistant to direct melee attacks, there are nonetheless several methods of dealing with them. Using the optimum guard, it is possible to send the laser beam from the Guardian directly to the sender. Equipped with a solid shield, you will have to target its opponent with ZL and press A just before the ray reaches you. This technique allows in principle to defeat the goalkeeper in 3-4 strokes, even if it requires a certain dose of training in order to perfectly master it.

The other technique is to aim the keeper's eye directly with an arrow, which will have the effect of interrupting his attack, giving you time to chain the combos (or flee valiantly). This technique can be combined with elementary arrows: the electric ones will stun the Guardian while the precious archaeological arrows will inflict heavy damage.
