On the official Twitter account of Naughty Dogs , Studio at the helm of The Last of Us , the developers posted some images of the sequel to the game, recently announced . It is on the enigmatic tattoo of Ellie that these images focus . We can see a moth placed on two fern leaves.
Design rather well done, it is the work of tattoo artist Natalie Hall . It is found in part in the trailer of the game since it is his hands who play the guitar . Neil Druckmann, the spirit behind The Last of Us , even claims to have used a new scanning technique, which also gives precise movements. To (re) see the trailer , no doubt about the perfection of this new system: the notes played correspond perfectly to the movements of the fingers on the guitar !
In another unveiled artwork (left), Ellie is standing, still sporting her post-apocalyptic look. So it's official: we will play a young woman and not a teenager in this suite. Small additional detail: the tattoo is on the character's right arm, where she was bitten ...
Finally, by poking around a bit, we can find a teaser from The Last of Us 2, dating from September ! It was indeed on September 26 that a first poster was released revealing the famous tattoo. The 26/09 represents, in the game, the Outbreak Day , the day when Cordyceps more or less destroyed the world. On this occasion, a large poster was unveiled in a Limited edition.
