The Invisible Man (2020)
R | 2h 4min | Horror, Mystery, Sci-Fi | 27 February 2020 (Australia)
Score:
Invisibility means the threat is everywhere, and it is in Cecilia's frame of mind. The main good thing is the creation of atmosphere, a lot of slow moving empty shots, will make you follow the protagonist together with paranoia, will feel that the seemingly empty place, whether really hidden something. Cecilia's performance is also very good, after all, there are many scenes of no physical action, or a test of acting ability. And try to act like I'm not crazy but everyone else thinks I'm crazy. The combination of cheating on womanizing men and domestic violence with this traditional horror story is solid, at least reasonable and makes sense. The treatment of the end is still very feminist, very satisfying. On the basis of the classic horror setting, add more real, more real elements, let you find that such a terrorist event, in fact, has been happening around us.
