TCL made waves on March 6th with its Spring Product Launch Event, where they officially introduced the QD-Mini LED TV, TCL X11H. Positioned as the world's first Mini LED TV with over ten thousand dimming zones in the hundred-inch category, the X11H claims to reach the pinnacle of visual quality dubbed as "2024 Picture Quality Ceiling." The X11H lineup includes two models: 85 inches and 98 inches, boasting an impressive backlight zone count of 10368 and 14112, respectively.
During the event, TCL's product manager emphasized the significance of their "TCL Global Halo Control Technology," hailed as the "Min LED Halo Terminator." This technology, according to TCL, addresses haloing issues comprehensively, covering the entire process from light generation to imaging. It integrates proprietary micro-lens technology, high-efficiency light-emitting chips, close-range optical design, backlight response algorithms, and high-contrast screens to precisely control light fibers, effectively mitigating halo effects, thus serving as the core of an excellent Mini LED TV.
As a TV brand with an in-house screen industry chain, TCL asserts that compared to IPS hard screens, VA soft screens offer higher native contrast, making them the ideal match for Mini LED TVs. The X11H employs an A++ Butterfly Starry Screen with higher native contrast than regular VA screens and lower reflectivity, resulting in superior detail representation.
In terms of chips, aside from the flagship Linyao M2 chip, the X11H features the TSR independent image quality chip. TCL explains that while most TV image quality chips in the market are marketing gimmicks, as the main chip's computing power is sufficient for image quality adjustments, the inclusion of the TSR independent image quality chip in the X11H aims to simultaneously meet AI computing and image quality adjustment needs.
For audio, the X11H boasts an Anchor 6.2.2 Hi-Fi sound system, comprising twelve independent sound-emitting units, 160W ultra-high power, five independent power amplifier chips, and a 360° starry surround sound, ensuring immersive audio performance.
In terms of smart features, the X11H features an upgraded Smart Control Desktop, supporting global customization with features like file pocket and avatar system, ad-free boot, quick remote control keys, voice control, and multiple screen casting methods.
In terms of ports and configuration, the X11H offers 4GB+128GB storage, supports lightning-fast WiFi 6, four HDMI ports, USB 3.0, DDR4 3200M, and more.
