System Experience

Getting the Sony XBR65Z9F set up in my home was surprisingly easy. The delivery was quick and seamless, and when I unboxed it, I could see that it was in perfect condition. It took just about 15 minutes to assemble the base and connect it to my Wi-Fi and cable provider. I really appreciated that I only needed minimal help since this TV is quite large and heavy. Once everything was connected, it powered on without any issues, which was a relief after hearing stories about defective units.

Viewing Experience

Oh my goodness, the picture quality is nothing short of breathtaking! Whether I'm watching a high-energy sports game or a cinematic masterpiece, the colors pop, and the clarity is exceptional. Even in my well-lit living room, the brightness and contrast hold up beautifully. I’ve seen some TVs struggle with dark scenes, but this Sony handles them exceptionally well. It's like the images leap off the screen and envelop me in their richness.

Audio Experience

While the built-in sound quality is decent, I can tell it’s not the main attraction of this TV. The sound is clear, but it doesn’t quite match the visual brilliance. I’m planning to connect it to a surround sound system to elevate the experience further, as I believe that’s how you truly achieve cinematic immersion at home. For now, though, it’s good enough for casual watching.

Other Experience

Using the TV has been a joy overall. The Android interface is user-friendly, and I love being able to access my favorite streaming apps directly from the TV. I also appreciate the voice command feature—it makes navigating through content a breeze, especially in low-light settings. However, I did find the remote a bit cluttered with buttons, which took some getting used to.

Conclusion

Pros:
- Stunning picture quality with vibrant colors and excellent contrast
- Easy setup process with minimal lifting required
- Wide angle viewing—great for larger rooms
- Smooth performance with no lag during gaming
- User-friendly Android interface with plenty of apps

Cons:
- Built-in speakers are good but not great; an external sound system is recommended
- Remote control feels a bit cluttered and could be more intuitive
- The HDMI ports are located on the side, which can be less convenient

Overall Evaluation:
I’m genuinely thrilled with my purchase of the Sony XBR65Z9F. The picture quality alone makes it worth every penny. Despite a few minor quirks with the sound and remote, I feel like I’ve brought home a piece of cinematic technology that will enhance my viewing experience for years to come. If you’re looking for a high-quality television that excels in visual performance, I wholeheartedly recommend this model. This is definitely a TV that transforms how I enjoy movies and shows, and I can't wait to explore everything it has to offer.

Wow, the picture quality is amazing, even in my bright living room! The TV is solid and a bit heavy, but two of us managed to hang it up just fine.

I do wish it had a backlit remote and that the HDMI ports were on the back instead of the side, but honestly, those are minor things. Overall, it’s a fantastic buy!

Big shoutout to Walts TV for super speedy shipping! I was a little nervous with FedEx, but SONY's packaging did a great job keeping it safe.

Man, this Sony TV is a game changer! The picture quality and wide viewing angle are way better than my Samsung QN65Q9F that crapped out after just a year. Seriously, that Samsung would just crush all the dark scenes and made watching movies in low light a total bummer. But the Sony? It nails those dark scenes and looks great from all angles. Just a heads up, the sound isn’t the best, so you’ll want to hook it up to some external speakers for movie night. Overall, I’m super impressed!

I’m not one to write reviews, but I had to share my experience with Video and Audio Center. I got my TV from them on Amazon, and the first one showed up with vertical lines. They were awesome about it and sent me a replacement right away. The new Sony 65Z9F is amazing—great picture, no issues at all! I just wish I had gone for the 75" instead!

Sony's not fixing the stuttering issue with the ESPN app, which is super frustrating. It's wild to think you’d have to fork out $49 for a streaming stick just to watch live sports on a TV you bought! The forums are buzzing with angry folks. Honestly, I'm about ready to return mine too.
