First Impressions
The design of the N5300 is decent. The TV is made out of a combination of plastic and metal. The build quality is decent with no obvious issues. This years model has no power brick, but the overall design resembles last yearsM5300a lot. The stand is plastic and supports the TV well, whereas the back is metallic. The TV looks slightly thick from the side and will stick out a little if wall mounted. The back of the TV is plain and made out of metal. The electronics compartment is located at the center of the back. If the TV is VESA mounted, some inputs might be hard to reach. There is nocable managementon this TV.
The build quality is decent. The TV is made of metal and plastic and there are no gaps or loose ends. It is very basic, but you should have no issues with the built quality.

System Experience | Overall, the product offers an easy-to-use and intuitive interface, making it accessible for most new users. However, the interface suffers from stuttery animations, which detracts from the overall user experience. While it provides a large selection of apps, including popular ones that come preinstalled, it lacks the speed and responsiveness found in higher-end models. Additionally, the presence of ads and suggested content without an option to remove them may be off-putting for some users. Lastly, the absence of HDR support in Amazon Video is a notable limitation. |

Viewing Experience | The Samsung N5300 presents a mixed overall impression. While it shows some improvements in gray uniformity and decent black uniformity compared to its predecessor, the native contrast ratio is disappointing, resulting in blacks appearing more like gray in dark environments. This diminishes the overall picture quality, especially for viewers seeking deeper contrast. The viewing angles are adequate, but brightness drops significantly when viewed from the side, and color inaccuracies become apparent at wider angles. On the positive side, the display handles reflections well and has a decent color gamut for SDR content, though it struggles with HDR performance. Overall, the N5300 is an incremental improvement over the M5300 but still falls short in key areas such as contrast and HDR capabilities. |

Audio Experience | Overall, the N5300 presents a mixed performance in terms of audio quality. While it delivers clear and intelligible dialog, its low-frequency response is notably lacking, resulting in a lack of impactful bass. The TV struggles with volume, failing to reach high sound levels without introducing compression and pumping artifacts. Although harmonic distortion remains within acceptable limits, the overall audio experience may leave users wanting more, particularly in dynamic sound situations. |

Motion Smoothing | The product delivers a generally positive experience with good response time, contributing to smooth motion in fast-moving content. While there is a slight blur trail and minimal overshoot, these issues are not overly noticeable. However, the use of PWM dimming for backlight adjustment may be a drawback due to its low flicker frequency, which could be bothersome for some users. It's important to note that the absence of a motion interpolation feature, which was present in the previous model, may limit its appeal for those who prioritize enhanced motion clarity. Overall, the TV performs well, but potential users should consider the flicker and lack of motion interpolation in their decision. |

Connecting TV | The overall impression of the product indicates that the N53000 TV has decent input lag but may not meet the expectations of serious gamers, as the lag in Game mode is only slightly improved compared to other modes. Additionally, the lack of DTS passthrough support is a drawback compared to its predecessor. However, the TV is capable of handling UHD HDR content, making it suitable for general viewing experiences. |
