- - It supports Dolby Vision: still a rarity in most streaming boxes (Apple TV 4k does support it)
- - Unique form factor: it’s a little cyclinder that easily hides behind your TV, it makes almost no noise.
- - It is FAST. If you think “my TV’s apps are just fine”, don’t use this. You’ll realize just how laggy that LG/Sony/Samsung/Vizio OS really is!
- - It has the best remote of any streamer: it lights up, it’s ergonomic, and it’s not the Apple TV remote. (which is one of the worst in the industry)
- - It has a gigabit Ethernet port. (the Ethernet ports built into most TVs are only a tenth as fast)
- - It has fast, AC WiFi if you don’t want to run a cable
- - It also acts like a Chromecast Ultra, so you can cast from many Android apps, the Chrome browser, and even iOS apps.
- - It has a microSD slot for your own, local media. (if you want to hook up a hard drive, you’ll need to shell out $50 more for the “Pro” version though)
