The NexiGo Aurora Pro is big and heavy and requires an outlet to function, so it isnt made with portability in mind. It has no automatic image correction feature, so youll need to manually adjust the focus and image geometry. The projector has two adjustable feet towards the front of the unit, letting you adjust the vertical projection angle. This model has a 60W speaker system with two 15W woofers and two 15W tweeters. This projector uses a laser light source, which, according to the manufacturer, requires no maintenance and will last for 25,000 hours or more. Its not a true 4k projector, as it uses pixel shifting to create a higher-resolution image. This offers better quality than a pure 1080p projector but isnt as good as a native 4k projector. Its a UST projector, so it can project an 80 image at a distance of about 3.9 and up to a 150 image at a distance of 17.3".

Viewing Experience | The NexiGo Aurora Pro projector offers a solid performance with good peak brightness, making it suitable for use in moderately lit environments. Its brightness is consistent across the display, providing an overall pleasant viewing experience despite the presence of some minor darker corners. The projector excels in contrast, delivering deep blacks during darker scenes, which enhances the viewing experience in low-light settings. However, while it boasts a wide color gamut and covers the Rec. 709 color space, the color reproduction is somewhat lacking, particularly in brighter scenes where colors do not fully stand out against whites. Additionally, while it can handle the wider Rec. 2020 color space, accuracy issues with certain colors—including whites, purples, and blues—detract from its overall color fidelity. Overall, the projector performs well in terms of brightness and contrast but falls short in color accuracy, particularly in bright scenes. |

System Experience | The NexiGo Aurora Pro is a projector that integrates Android TV and offers wireless casting through Miracast and AirPlay. However, a recent firmware update has diminished the user experience by removing the app-style home menu. It features three HDMI 2.1 ports, including one that functions as an eARC port, and is capable of 1080p gaming at 240Hz, although it struggles with frame skipping at 4k @ 120Hz. Additionally, it supports modern connectivity with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2. Overall, while the projector has strong specifications, the recent changes impact its usability, suggesting that users may benefit from supplemental streaming solutions for an optimal experience. |
User Feedback
Pros:• Good brightness levels
• Impressive picture quality
• Good black levels
Cons:
• Bad build quality (feels flimsy and bulky)
• Noticeable fan noise
• Poor inbuilt software
• Subpar audio pass-through quality
• Inadequate inbuilt speakers
• Limited one-year warranty
Overall Impression:
The Nexigo Aurora Pro offers impressive picture quality and brightness in a no-ambient-light setting, but it suffers from significant drawbacks such as poor build quality, annoying fan noise, and inadequate software performance. Given its high price point and concerns about durability, it may not be a worthwhile investment unless it is significantly discounted or backed by a longer warranty.
