2K unveiled a promotional video for its new golf game, PGA TOUR 2K21 (PS4 / Xbox One/Switch), and promised to release details next Thursday, May 14.
The previous "PGA Tour" -themed golf game was Rory McIlroy PGA Tour, which was released by EA in July 2015. Therefore, the PGA Tour is returning to the upstream instrument platform after a five-year hiatus. In fact, EA has been the driving force behind the PGA Tour series of games since PGA Tour Golf in 1990. Thanks to the popularity of golf star Tiger Woods, the series has held the title of Tiger Woods since 1998, before being replaced by Rory McIlroy in 2015.
2K's Golf roots can be traced back to The Golf Club series developed by HB Studios. In 2018, The Golf Club 2019, featuring The PGA, was released on PS4, Xbox One and PC by 2K Sports.
It will be interesting to see what kind of game content 2K will bring to the new golf game, which will be titled "2K" like NBA 2K and WWE 2K.
