Publisher 2K has revealed new arcade-style game WWE 2K Battlegrounds. Details are still a little slim at this early stage, but a press release promises a "completely new WWE gaming experience" with "over-the-top Superstar designs, environments and moves". The focus for this new game is said to be on social, pick-up-and-play gaming, while still having "plenty of depth" for solo players. WWE 2K Battlegrounds is being developed by Saber Interactive. Platforms haven't been confirmed. Besides, 2K addressed that WWE 2K19 servers will remain active for the time being. 2K said that they are applying what they have learned to the next WWE 2K simulation game with a renewed focus on quality and fun. They are extending the production timeline and will not be releasing a WWE 2K simulation game in 2020 (T2 fiscal year 2021).
