Hey everyone. I'm considering the Mitsubishi EW270U DLP WXGA Projector for my home setup and would love your insights.

I've read that the picture quality is pretty solid with a widescreen resolution of 1280 x 800, which sounds great for movies and presentations. But how does it really perform in terms of color accuracy and brightness in different lighting conditions?

Sound quality is another area I’m curious about. Does it come with decent built-in speakers, or should I plan on using external audio equipment for a better experience?

Also, the built-in LAN feature for remote operation seems convenient, but is it easy to set up and use? Any potential downsides to keep in mind, like compatibility issues with certain devices or limitations in the 3D feature?

I appreciate any advice you can give! Thanks!

So, I just picked up this new projector for my church to swap out the old Mitsubishi that crapped out on me. Honestly, it’s been awesome! I was a bit thrown off by the name—EW270U or something like that—but I snagged it at a killer price.

It’s a bit different from my old one since it doesn’t have the RGB component input, but it’s got RCA (the yellow one), HDMI, and VGA, so no biggie. And let me tell you, it projects in widescreen like a champ! I’m even using a C2G video splitter to show stuff on a monitor too, and it’s working like a dream. Overall, I’m really happy with this buy!
