Minecraft Dungeons is now available to everyone. Whether via the Xbox Game Pass or on the € 19.99 store , players can embark on an adventure with friends and thus browse the game dungeons to find the treasures and fight the different creatures. If there is one important element to progress properly in the game, it is the enchantment system of Minecraft Dungeons. Here's how it works, and how to use it well.

What is the enchantment in Minecraft Dungeons?

The enchantment system of Minecraft Dungeons differs slightly from that of Minecraft but the principle remains simple: the enchantment can be related to skill points and allows simply to improve a weapon or an object using a type. Note that the artifacts you get (the powers at the bottom of the screen to customize your character) cannot be enchanted.

To use an enchantment, simply select the object to enchant and take a look at one of the three locations at the bottom right of the screen. At the start of the game, you will certainly see only one type of enchantment in this place but the more you advance in Minecraft Dungeons, the more you will discover objects with 2 or sometimes 3 locations, which is rarer.

How to earn enchantment points in Minecraft Dungeons?

Earning enchantment points in Minecraft Dungeons is simply done by progressing in the game since it is not possible to buy them. As the adventure progresses and the enemies defeated, you will gain experience and level up.

Each new level reached will earn you an enchantment point which you can then save for later or spend right away.

How to properly use enchantment points?

Minecraft Dungeons:Use points on the right items

It's tempting to use your enchantment points on higher level weapons and items, but it's not always the best thing to do.

A powerful sword with an attached enchantment will certainly be very interesting, but we advise you to first check the characteristics of the possible enchantments at the bottom right of the screen. For example, a level 20 sword with a single enchantment slot might very well be less attractive than a lower level sword, but with two enchantment slots that will give it more power.

A weapon with three enchantments could thus have more value than another with a single enchantment, and even if it proves more powerful at base, since enchantments could for example make it possible to do more damage. Depending on the way you play (melee attack, rather support, ...), therefore take a priority look at the enchantments available on your weapons and objects before their nominal gross power.

Minecraft Dungeons: Recover your enchantment points

If you use enchantment points on your weapons and objects, these remain attached to them and you cannot remove them to place them on something else.

There is however a way to recover the enchantment points attached to weapons and objects, it is by recycling your items. The recycling of an enchanted object allows you to recover the enchantment points in your wallet for later use, but also green emeralds which you can then use at the blacksmith to obtain new equipment. Recycling an object means that it simply disappears from the inventory.

We recommend that you use your enchantment points from the start of the game to progress faster in Minecraft Dungeons. When you get a more powerful and interesting weapon, just recycle the one you use and reassign your points on the new one. In any case, you will never lose your enchantment points!
