LG has announced its fourth-generation OLED TV panels, marking a significant leap in brightness and energy efficiency. The new panels are the first in the industry to achieve a maximum brightness of 4,000 nits, a 33% improvement over previous models. Optimized for the AI era, these panels are designed to deliver ultra-high-definition visuals up to 8K resolution by leveraging real-time content analysis and enhancement.

Revolutionary Primary RGB Tandem Structure

At the core of the fourth-generation OLED panels is LG's proprietary Primary RGB Tandem structure. This innovative design uses independent RGB element layers to emit light. Unlike traditional three-layer light sources, the new panels feature four layers by adding an extra blue element layer and separate red and green element layers. This multi-layer approach increases peak brightness by amplifying the light output from each layer.

Enhanced Color Brightness and Purity

In addition to boosting maximum brightness, LG has also improved color brightness in its latest OLED panels. By separating red, green, and blue (RGB) elements into distinct layers, the panels achieve a color brightness of 2,100 nits. This represents a 40% increase compared to the previous generation's 1,500 nits, resulting in more vibrant and accurate colors.

Energy Efficiency for AI-Powered TVs

To address the higher power demands of AI-driven TVs, LG has optimized the energy efficiency of its new panels. The fourth-generation OLED panels not only run cooler but also offer a 20% improvement in energy efficiency compared to their predecessors. This ensures that the panels can handle the advanced processing required for AI features without compromising performance.
