Unboxing Experience

LG 55-Inch B4 TV:

The LG B4 OLED TV presents a sleek and modern design that seamlessly fits into any living space. Its ultra-thin profile and minimalistic bezels enhance the viewing experience, allowing the stunning display to take center stage. The craftsmanship is evident, with a robust build that feels premium. The 55-inch and 77-inch options offer flexibility in size while maintaining the same high-quality aesthetic. The stand, comprised of two parts, provides some configuration options, although wall mounting is a preferred choice for many.

SAMSUNG 55-Inch S95C TV:

The TV boasts a stunning design with an ultra-thin profile, measuring just 1.2 cm (0.47 inches) thick, and a sleek space gray finish that adds a modern touch to any room. Its separate One Connect box allows for a cleaner setup, minimizing cable clutter and enabling a flush wall mount. However, some users noted that the stand is unusually heavy and awkward to assemble, which can lead to concerns about stability when mounted. Overall, the visual appeal of the TV is high, but the build quality and some design choices, such as the stand, could use improvement.

System Experience

LG 55-Inch B4 TV:

Setting up the LG B4 was a straightforward process, significantly easier than some other brands. The intuitive interface of the LG Web OS makes navigation a breeze, and the television was ready to go quickly. The inclusion of 2.1 HDMI ports across all four inputs ensures compatibility with modern devices, facilitating seamless connections for 4K content at 60Hz. Although some users reported difficulties with the remote and initial setup instructions, overall, the installation experience was positive.

SAMSUNG 55-Inch S95C TV:

Setting up the TV can be a frustrating experience, as the instructions provided by Samsung are often cryptic and the initial setup can be cumbersome. The need for a Samsung code complicates the process further, with many users reporting difficulties in getting their devices recognized. While some found success with alternative devices like Roku, others struggled with the One Connect interface, which requires multiple cables and careful management to avoid confusion. Additionally, issues with HDMI signal recognition have been noted, contributing to an overall disappointing setup experience for many users.

The viewing experience on the LG B4 is nothing short of breathtaking, thanks to its OLED technology. The inky blacks and vibrant colors create an immersive picture that significantly outshines previous non-OLED models. Many reviewers noted the striking contrast and clarity, especially in darker scenes, leading to a captivating display whether watching movies, sports, or gaming. The AI picture options further enhance the experience by adjusting picture quality based on preferences, ensuring that every viewing is optimized.

SAMSUNG 55-Inch S95C TV:

The picture quality is frequently highlighted as outstanding, with vibrant colors, deep blacks, and impressive brightness levels that truly enhance movie-watching experiences. Calibration adjustments often yield excellent results, especially when using modes like Filmmaker. Audio Experience

LG 55-Inch B4 TV:

The sound quality of the LG B4 has received mixed reviews, with some praising its performance and others finding it inconsistent. Many users were pleasantly surprised by the AI sound feature, which reportedly rivals standalone sound systems for clarity and depth. However, some noted that an additional soundbar or surround sound system might be necessary to achieve the ultimate audio experience, especially in larger rooms. Overall, while the built-in sound is adequate for casual viewing, those seeking a more cinematic experience may want to invest in external audio solutions.

SAMSUNG 55-Inch S95C TV:

The TV's built-in speakers leave much to be desired, often described as thin-sounding and lacking depth, especially during low-frequency sounds. Users strongly recommend pairing the TV with an external sound system, such as a soundbar, to fully appreciate the audio experience. While some users noted that the sound quality was better than expected, it is generally agreed that investing in an additional audio solution is necessary to complement the high-quality video performance.

Motion & Gaming

LG 55-Inch B4 TV:

The LG B4 excels in gaming performance, featuring a native 120Hz refresh rate that can be extended to 144Hz for variable refresh rates. The input lag is impressively low, making it a standout choice for gamers who value responsiveness and fluidity in gameplay. Many users reported a seamless experience when using the TV as a gaming monitor for consoles like the PS5, appreciating the beautiful graphics and quick response times. While it may not be suitable for competitive gamers who prioritize higher frame rates, it meets the needs of casual gamers exceptionally well.

SAMSUNG 55-Inch S95C TV:

The TV has been marketed as a capable gaming hub, supporting features like VRR and low latency gaming, which many users found beneficial. However, issues like HDMI signal drops, long response times when changing settings, and motion handling problems have been reported as significant drawbacks. Some users experienced difficulties with their gaming consoles connecting or maintaining stable signals, particularly when using advanced gaming features. Overall, while the TV has potential for gaming, many factors hinder a seamless experience.

It offers a wide range of entertainment options, including access to LG channels and an integrated web browser. The magic remote is equipped with pointer functionality, enhancing navigation through apps and menus, although some users found the absence of dedicated play and pause buttons to be a drawback. The TV also supports Google Cast, adding to its versatility. However, the removal of the app menu while watching content was noted as a minor inconvenience.

SAMSUNG 55-Inch S95C TV:

The TV includes a range of smart features, such as built-in streaming apps and Samsung's gaming hub, although some users find the interface cluttered with unnecessary pop-ups. Got this LG 55-Inch B4 TV for Christmas, but it's got weird spots all over the screen. The 77-inch one I got is cool, so I think this 55-inch one is just a dud. Hoping the seller will swap it out. I’ve attached some pics.

Check out the Samsung 55-Inch S95C TV! It's got a separate box for all the tech stuff. Just a heads up, the screen is super sensitive—so don't poke it! If you need to clean it, make sure to look up the right way to do it first.

Check out the SAMSUNG 55-Inch S95C TV! It’s gorgeous and I picked it over the LG C4 mainly for the ATSC 3.0 Tuner. You’ll get a way clearer picture with this one using the same antenna!
