Blu-ray is not 1080P, the definitions of the two are not the same.

Blu-ray refers to an optical disc storage technology that uses blue lasers with shorter wavelengths to read and write data to form a Blu-ray disc, and then 1080P high-definition video can be stored in the Blu-ray disc.

1080P is a standard for video definition, which is used to express the resolution of the video.

It can only be said that the two are related, but not the same concept.

Normal Blu-ray discs look great, but the maximum resolution is 1920 X 1080. A 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray disc has a resolution of 3840 X 2160. That's 4 times the amount of pixels.

Yes, 4K Blu-ray produces the sharpest, most textured picture quality I've seen on a 4K screen.
