How to connect a cable box to a TV? There are many ways to connect a TV box to a TV, depending on which ports your TV box has. If the TV box you bought already has a matching cable, just connect the TV box and the TV with the cable according to the connection port. The following are two connection methods that a general TV box will be equipped with.
Step 1
Plug the coaxial cable from the wall socket into the back of the junction box. The connector is metal with a small pin in the middle. Align the pins with the holes on the back of the cable box, and then tighten the connector clockwise until it is tight.
Step 2
Match the color of the composite or component RCA cable plug to the color of the jack on the back of the cable box. Insert the plug firmly into the socket of the matching color. The composite RCA colors are yellow (video), red, and white (stereo audio). Component video colors are green, blue, and red, and stereo audio has separate red and white pairs. Insert the red and white audio plugs into the "audio output" jack.
Step 3
Insert the video RCA plug into the back of the TV. For composite cables, this is the yellow plug, and for component cables, it is the green, blue, and red plugs. Match the color of the plug to the color of the jack and push to secure it in place. Please pay attention to the input location label on the back of the TV
Step 4
If you use a TV to play sound, please match and insert the red and white stereo audio plugs. To use a separate audio system, plug the stereo plug into the corresponding jack in the system.
Step 5
Plug the cable box into a power outlet and allow the system to connect before turning on the cable box. Set the TV to the correct input that you recorded when you plugged in the cable.
Step 1
Plug the coaxial cable from the wall socket into the back of the cable TV box. Tighten the connector of the coaxial cable in a clockwise direction. The small pin will align with the small hole in the middle of the cable box jack.
Step 2
Align the HDMI cable plug with the correct connection on the back of the cable box. The HDMI cable can only be plugged in when the direction is correct.
Step 3
Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port of the TV. If you have multiple HDMI ports, please pay attention to the one you use.
Step 4
Plug the junction box into the power supply and wait for the system to connect. Turn on the set-top box and set your TV to the HDMI port you noted earlier.
Step 1
After the connection is complete, turn on the TV and set-top box.
Step 2
Switch the input signal source to the set-top box with the remote control.
Step 3
Switch the input source of the TV to the corresponding channel.
