How to close or exit an app on LG TV? This is where things can be a bit confusing because it depends on the version of the webOS your LG TV has.
When you turn off the TV, all apps are automatically closed.
From the launcher, click the Recent Apps button on the bottom left. From here, hover over an app, then click the X above it.
If the app will open
1. Open the app.
2. Press the Home button on your LG remote to back to the launcher.
3. At the top of the title, the title of the app is displayed.
4. Hover over the title, click the X that appears to the left of the title.
If the app will not open, it will need to be removed, then re-installed.
webOS 1.0
