According to a report by The Verge, as of the end of 2019, the Switch sold 10.81 million units this quarter, with a total sales of 52.48 million units, which means that it has now surpassed SNES and become Nintendo's third-best-selling home game console. Inferior to Wii and NES.
Nintendo's Switch hardware sales increased by about 15% year-on-year. Nintendo attributed part of it to the release of the cheaper Switch Lite, but the release of the National Bank version does not seem to be a major factor in sales growth.
