System Experience

Setting up my new projector was surprisingly straightforward, which was a relief after all the research I had done. I had been using a large 75" TV, so transitioning to a projector was a big leap for me. I paired it with a 103" ALR screen, and it was like opening the door to a whole new world of home entertainment. I didn’t run into any major issues during the setup process, so thankfully I can't speak to customer service experiences, but I’ve heard they’re quite good from others. My only minor frustration was the remote not being backlit, but since I’m using a universal remote, it hasn’t been a dealbreaker.

Viewing Experience

Wow, the picture quality is simply stunning! The colors are vibrant and the contrast is impressive, especially when I played around with the settings. It felt like my movies and games were coming to life right in front of me! Watching films in Dolby Vision has been an absolute treat, and I find myself getting lost in the visuals. The sheer size of the image is breathtaking, and I've received so many compliments from friends and family who come over to watch. It's hard to believe I can get this kind of quality at such a reasonable price compared to a traditional TV.

Other Experience

While I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the projector, I did encounter a few hiccups. For instance, I initially struggled to get Netflix working on it, which was a bit frustrating. After some effort, I finally managed to get it running, but it definitely took more fiddling than I expected. The fan can also be a bit noisy, but I find that it’s hardly noticeable when I’m engrossed in a movie or game. Overall, my experience has been largely positive, and the few bumps along the way haven’t overshadowed my enjoyment.

Conclusion

Pros:
The best part about this projector is the value for money. The quality of the image, the size of the screen, and the ease of setup all make it a fantastic investment for anyone considering an upgrade to their home theater setup. I love that I can enjoy a massive screen without the usual constraints of a traditional projector, like needing a dark room or worrying about people walking in front of it. Plus, it’s been a joy to explore the different settings and tailor the experience to my preferences.

Cons:
On the flip side, there are a few drawbacks. The remote is less than ideal without backlighting, which can make it tricky to navigate in low light. Additionally, I did have a moment of panic with the Netflix setup, which shouldn’t have been such a hassle. Also, I’ve noticed some minor issues with picture focus in certain situations, which can be a little annoying, especially during intense gaming sessions. I hope these are things that can be improved in future updates or models.

Overall Evaluation:
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with my decision to invest in this projector. It has truly transformed my home entertainment experience, allowing me to enjoy movies and games like never before. The picture quality is impressive, and the immersive experience has made it worth every penny. Despite a few minor quirks, I would highly recommend this projector to anyone looking to step up their home theater game. It feels great to have made such a successful transition from my old TV to this new setup, and I can't wait to continue enjoying it for years to come.

I’ve seriously gone down the rabbit hole researching projectors, and let me tell you, the Formovie is a total game-changer! The picture and sound quality? Absolutely top-notch! Sure, the Android OS could be a bit smoother, but I just hook up my Apple TV, and everything’s golden. The image is huge and super clear—I’m talking 140 inches on my wall in my own little theater room. Plus, I’ve got the Nakamichi Dragon for sound, and it’s just fantastic! Seriously, if you’re on the fence, just go for it! You won’t regret it!

Man, this projector can be such a pain sometimes! It gets really laggy and I’ve had some annoying audio issues where the sound just cuts out. I’ve had to restart it a few times to get that sorted.

The biggest letdown? I hooked up my Chromecast Ultra to binge-watch Netflix in 4K, but guess what? The projector doesn’t even recognize it in 4K! I’ve reached out to support more times than I can count, but they just don’t get it. It’s like they don’t even speak basic English! I tried a bunch of their suggestions, but nothing worked. Honestly, I’m really regretting this purchase and wish I could just return the thing.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share a quick update about my experience with ProjectorScreen.com. Honestly, they're awesome! I reached out to them about a little issue I had, and they jumped right on it. Super impressed with their customer service! I’d totally recommend them to anyone.

As for the projector, it’s been pretty good overall—great picture and nice brightness. But I’ve had it for about 5 months now, and there’s this annoying bright white spot that popped up and won’t go away. So I’m giving the company a solid 5 stars, and the projector gets 4 stars from me.

The picture looks awesome, and the colors pop! But I'm in a bit of a bind here. I need to grab an ALR screen to really test it out. The big problem? Netflix won’t work for me, no matter what I try. Seriously, why is it so tough to get Netflix on this projector? It’s like a must-have for any home setup!

Come on, Formovie team, you guys need to fix this ASAP. I’m seriously considering returning this projector if I can’t get Netflix up and running.

Man, this projector is seriously awesome! The contrast, resolution, and black levels are on point. I’ve got a newer OLED, and honestly, this thing doesn’t lag too far behind—pretty impressive! I hook it up to a receiver for sound, so I can’t really comment on that, but the Arc feature works like a charm. The colors look fantastic right outta the box, though I bet some calibration could take it to the next level. There are just some mind-blowing moments with this projector when the visuals hit just right. If you’re in the market for a UST, do yourself a favor and check out the Formovie! You won’t regret it!

So, I've been dealing with some frustrating stuff since I got my Wemax. Ended up with a Formovie instead—kinda annoying but whatever. The optical audio output was messed up, but I managed to get by without it. However, this thing keeps disconnecting from Wi-Fi like it's on a mission to annoy me, and my remote just decided to stop working altogether. I’ve reached out to the company a bunch of times, but surprise, surprise—crickets. I can’t really recommend this product at all.

Update: And now the whole unit just died on me and won't turn on. Still no support or response from the manufacturer. I'm seriously out thousands of dollars here. What a total bummer.
