Fantasy Island is remaked from Fantasy Island series that was rebooted by brunhouse and ran as an independent unit on ABC from 1977 to 1984. Directed by "Truth or Dare" director Jeff Wadlow, it's the director's second collaboration with Lucy Hale since "the moment of Truth," and features Michael Pena, Jimmy o. Yang, Austin Stowell, and Asian actress Maggie Q.
Legend has it that there is an island that can fulfill people's desires. A group of people are invited to come here to experience the fulfillment of their desires. However, the tone of the film's prologue has already been set -- a woman with long blond hair is on the run through the forest, she hides in a building and tries to call for help, but the man who picks up the phone calls himself Luke and tells her she is his guest -- and we already know that the group is going to be on the run.
After the initial horror escape, the tone of the movie changes, the island suddenly becomes beautiful scenery, a group of people think themselves lucky, because the lottery came to this island. But with the horror of its disastrous opening scene and the odd waiter, we can already see how the film will play out. We don't find the opening blonde among the characters on the island, though, so we're not sure if the opening scene is a foreshadowing, foreshadowing, or just an interpretive use of atmosphere.
As a as long as you have met forecast see, read interface, probably will be able to infer the overall plot to film, personally think that the use of suspense in the movie is good, in my eyes, and a highlight of the film a few more positive, but actually only in retrospect can also link to which someone interesting things.
