Although Disney+ was launched soon, it can now catch up with the streaming leader. Disney (Disney) has launched its own streaming service Disney+ after more than half a year, it has risen to the fourth place in the number of subscribers to American streaming platforms, and Netflix and other leading companies have ranked among the top. Research firm Parks Associates found that Disney+ among American respondents, 25% of subscribers subscribe to the service, and Apple TV+, who is also a new player, ranks in the top five.
However, this is still not enough to affect the top three positions, namely Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hulu.
However, the report points out that 81% of Netflix subscribers also subscribe to Disney+, as do 72% of Apple TV+ subscribers. The success of the new platform may be due in part to the epidemic. The study conducted a survey of approximately 10,000 respondents from March 8 to April 3, 2020. Disney+ clearly has content that major competitors lack.
