One of the main questions that fans of Resident Evil 2 ask is one that was one of the main points of the gameplay of the original game, its different scenarios. In fact, when it came out, the original Resident Evil 2 offered no less than 4 different scenarios , including the player's actions which had a direct impact on the story. What about this remake ?
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN LEON AND CLAIRE'S CAMPAIGNS: THE SCENARIO SYSTEM B PRESERVED
Resident Evil 2 remake has chosen to merge these 4 scenarios into a main scenario and a bis scenario . You can always choose with whom you start your 1st run, Leon Kennedy or Claire Redfield , the story varying slightly depending on the character chosen. Thus, scenario A presents a common core to Leon and Claire then differ in the middle of the game with an end of campaign A with Leon very different from the end of campaign A with Claire , mainly related to the character encountered in his quest by your hero .
It will be the same for the scenarios again, whose unfolding varies a chouïa according to the character played. Although you may see evidence of the other character's actions in different parts of the game, the decisions from your first round will not affect your second round .
We can still note that one of the major differences between the base scenario and the bis scenario is the starting point . In the first round, you enter the Raccoon city police station through the main entrance door , while in scenario two the game will start after the helicopter crash, just east of the east wing. This will take you to a completely different route through the game and other events.
Differences between Leon and Claire
Another differentiating point, your starting weapon between the two runs is not the same . The two characters are respectively a handgun chambered in .45. However, not everything will be so simple, because you will have to be extremely careful with your ammunition . They are counted and rare ! You will have to collect them all but also recover certain items that will allow you to make them (powders) .
Several elements such as optional keys to obtain additional weapons are also scattered in different places during the 2nd round. It also means that you can get certain weapons and upgrades at different timelines . However, the key items you need to progress in the game remain in the same places. But all this will depend on your choice of tickets for the Raccoon City police station. It will also change your route and you can get some items or weapons sooner or later
