The story of Dead Island 2 is not a long, quiet river. Passed between many hands, the game was announced at E3 2014 and was initially due to be released in 2016, then 2016 before completely disappearing from radar screens. Recently, we learned through a job offer that the game was going to an Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 release in addition to current machines.

Dead Island 2: a playable build of 2015 and gameplay are leaking on the net!

Genre: FPS
Publisher: Deep Silver
Developer: Sumo Digital
Release date: NC
Planned on: Xbox One, Playstation 4, Windows PC

Today, while we are still waiting for official news from the title, various content from a 2015 build is blooming on the net. There are screenshots taken on Twitter by @GarnetSunset and gameplay videos. The said build is probably available on the 4chan forums and seems to come from Yager Development; studio in charge of the project at that time until the end of the partnership with Deep Silver in July 2015. You can find on Youtube various gameplay videos like that of LonelySpliff available below.

We do not really know if Dead Island 2 will one day see the end of the tunnel, what is sure, however, is that a certain Dying Light 2 will not make it easy. The latter on the other hand does not seem to be spared by the little glitches since it was also postponed several times and still has no release date.

I do not find it so awful for a 2015 game but it looks too much like 1. This is probably why it was taken back to 0. Finally if ever one day it comes out.

Dead Island is nice, especially in 2015, the spirit of the first Dead Island are there anyway right? As long as they jump something like the first with content and a physical engine worthy of the name ...
