Breeders Season 1 is a parenting comedy starringed by Martin Freeman and Daisy Haggard. It explores the paradox every parent knows but never admits: you're willing to die for your children, but many times you want to kill them, too. Martin plays Paul, a caring father; Daisy plays "Ellie", Paul's working partner who runs a recording studio, and they fall in love and get married.
Life doesn't always go well, though. Paul and Ellie are busy working full time, taking care of their children, paying off their loans, taking care of their parents and a lot of turmoil. When Ellie's estranged father, Michael, showed up at the door, it meant the family had another "child" to raise, and Paul's parents were ready to help, but the couple's parenting styles were different.
The chaos situations out of control really lead people to think seriously and then make decisions. Although it may not work very well, with these references, we can never fall into self-pity and self-sacrifice.
