Designed in quality materials, Audeze headsets also benefit from innovative planar magnetic technology which aims for better reactivity, a wider frequency response or even much lower distortion than with dynamic transducer ratios.
The American manufacturer has already released gaming headsets with the LCD-GX and Mobius 3D for PC but the Penrose wireless headset marks the arrival of the brand for console players. Although it will also work on Xbox One, PS4 and PC, it is a model that was designed with the Xbox Series X and PS5 in mind from the start.
Features of the Audeze Penrose Gaming Headset
The Penrose helmet will be available in two different versions. The first headset is dedicated to PS4, PS5, Windows and Mac and is simply called "Penrose" while the second, Penrose X, is dedicated to Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Windows. The headset connects wirelessly 2.4 GHz to the console via a USB dongle but also supports SBC and AAC codecs in Bluetooth 5.0.
The Penrose headset is equipped with a flexible microphone with built-in noise filters which reduce up to 20 dB of background noise so that players can communicate correctly in game. It should also be noted that wireless and Bluetooth connections can be activated simultaneously so players can customize their settings via the Audeze HQ app available on PC and mobile.
The helmet is available for pre-order at the price of $ 249 instead of $ 299 for the first 1000 buyers. The helmets reception is scheduled for the beginning of September.
