If you are a sound lover, you probably know the Danish brand Bang & Olufsen. It specializes in high-end sound equipment, and has just announced a partnership with the Xbox brand.

Bang & Olufsen is best known to Hi-Fi enthusiasts. The manufacturer has notably stood out for having equipped certain models with beautiful German cars, but also by certain high-end TV models, some of which exceed $ 20,000. Design and quality often go hand in hand on the models offered and it is therefore with great care that we will follow this announced partnership with Xbox.
Christoffer Poulsen, vice-president and responsible for products at Bang & Olufsen, affirms that this collaboration aims to "create a new audio proposal to respond to the high-end segment of the video game by taking advantage of the capacities of Bang & Olufsen" . He adds that video games have evolved a lot in recent years and that Bang & Olufsen intends to play a significant role in offering quality equipment.
Matt Kesselring, head of hardware partnerships at Xbox confirms that the goal is to deliver premium audio quality for Xbox, but does not yet reveal what type of hardware it could concern. One could very well imagine that a high-end headset was designed by Bang & Olufsen for the Xbox Series X to accompany this new console which will be the most powerful available when it is released in late 2020. It is already confirmed that Bang & Olufsen will manufacture products labeled “Designed for Xbox”, so it remains to be seen which ones.
