The increased brightness of 3000 lumens is a definite improvement, even in a dark theater room, providing better overall image quality. While the projector is limited to Rec 709 96% for color coverage, the results are still impressive for most users, especially considering the lack of any short-throw projectors offering full DCI P3 coverage at this price point.

In terms of resolution, the 4K is noticeably better, though it's important to note that like most DLP projectors, it uses dithering to achieve higher resolutions. The only visible downside to this is faint ghosting around dark text on a white background, which can occasionally be noticeable but isn't a major issue for most content. High-resolution color scenes, however, look fantastic.

At 9 feet away, you can get a sharp 108" picture with max optical zoom, which makes for an impressive viewing experience, particularly for gaming. The clarity is so good that it makes it hard to go back to a traditional gaming monitor.

One area for improvement is the black levels, as the black bars in movies can stand out after prolonged use. If you're particularly sensitive to black levels, this might be a slight downside. Additionally, for the best audio experience, pairing it with quality external speakers is a must, as the built-in sound likely won’t suffice for a theater-like experience.
