True enough that the ports are
HDMI 2.1 but only run at 40Gbps. That's because it's a 10-bit panel. 48Gbps is only required for 12-bit colorspace. So even if the ports ran at a full 48Gbps on this set, the extra 8Gbps would go unused do to the 10-bit limitation of the panel.
