- Plant exotic fruits : fruits that are not native to your island are sold 5 times more expensive than yours (100 bells for your basic fruit and 500 for the others).
- Don't be bothered by hindsight when hitting rocks : dig with a shovel one to three holes horizontally behind you to prevent your character from "slipping" when he hits a rock.
- Make objects faster in the workshop : hammer the A button during the object creation animation.
- Collecting branches : unlike various types of wood, there is no limit to the number of branches that can fall from a tree, so you can keep shaking.
- Rearrange your inventory by hand : in the inventory menu, keep the A button pressed on the object you want to move.
- Do not throw your garbage : you can sometimes recover seemingly useless objects like garbage or old shoes. Do not sell them: they can be used as manufacturing material in certain craft recipes.
- Planting bell trees : when you come across a small luminous halo on the ground, dig up the bells buried with your shovel. Instead of filling the hole, place another amount of bells (up to 10k) and after a few days, you should see a bell tree growing which will give you 3 times the amount you had buried. After having recovered the fruit of your efforts, the tree will nevertheless become sterile and will be good for cutting.
- Get rid of the rocks : if pebbles spoil the feng shui of your village, you can get rid of them by eating a fruit before bumping them with your shovel or ax. Be careful, it will take them a day before reappearing and you will therefore not be able to harvest any stone, iron, clay or gold during this time.
- Digging up a whole tree : you can dig up a whole tree for replanting elsewhere by eating a fruit beforehand and using your shovel to store it in your inventory.
- Don't break your chain while fishing : one of the Nook Miles challenges will ask you to fish 10, 50, then 100 fish in a row without missing a single catch, which can seem difficult to achieve. In reality, you can, immediately after having missed your shot, very quickly press the "home" button on your Switch and quit the game before your failure is recorded. If all goes well, you will resume from your last backup with your channel intact.
- Collect as many balloons as possible : they appear on your island every 5 to 10 minutes and always follow the wind's trajectory. If for example you see one arriving from the left of your island, you can be sure that today, the following will come from this same side.
