At the end of 2020, we will usher in the next generation of Xbox consoles. Every time you update, there will always be some of the masterpieces on the previous generation consoles forgotten. Although these masterpieces are a bit old, their brilliance has not dimmed over time. Thanks to the backward compatibility of the Xbox console, these games are like buried treasure, waiting for players to dig. The following is a list of five excellent works on Xbox 360 that have been almost forgotten.
Metal Gear Rise: Revengeance
The Metal Gear series has never been Xbox, and it was not until 2011 that the HD collection was launched on this platform. Since then, Metal Gear Rise Revengeance produced by Platinum Studios landed on Xbox 360. The game tells the story of Raiden's attempt to restore the war economy after defeating the "Son of the Patriot" incident and provoke a conspiracy in Africa.
Platinum Studio has given full play to its own expertise in making action games. In the game, players play the role of Raiden, a modern ninja with superb swordsmanship, which is a test of reaction. After playing games like Ghost of Tsushima and Sekiro, why not revisit the previous ninja game masterpieces?
Lost Odyssey
Seeing an oriental-style RPG on the Xbox 360 in a western console is a bit uncoordinated. Except for Lost Odyssey, there was a similar work on Xbox 360, the Blue Dragon. Compared to Blue Dragon, the Lost Odyssey is obviously better in quality. Lost Odyssey brings people back to the classic JRPG era, with turn-based battles, dynamic difficulty based on character levels, random battles, and a capacity of up to 4 DVDs.
Syndicate
When the restart version was released in 2012, Syndicate came under fire for being very different from the original: the original was a tactical shooter, and the restart version became FPS. However, with the passage of time, especially in the days waiting for the launch of Cyberpunk 2077, the 2012 version of Syndicate has become a work you should not miss. If you want, you can completely regard it as a reduced version of Cyberpunk 2077.
Although there is no character customization or side missions, Syndicate is still full of futuristic colors and fast-paced shooting. The gameplay of Syndicate is more like Mirror's Edge, of course, there are fewer parkour elements and more gun battles. Although the depth of the story is not as good as Spec Ops: The Line and Death Stranding, as an FPS game, it can't ask for more.
Ninja Gaiden 2
At the moment, people call those difficult games "soul", but in fact there is an earlier originator, that is, the Ninja Gaiden series. Ninja Gaiden was first born on FAMICOM. The series restarted on Xbox in 2004, but the second generation on Xbox 360 is the real classic. Compared with the first generation restarted on Xbox, Ninja Gaiden 2 on Xbox 360 has more types of weapons and higher difficulty.
Now some people try to challenge From Software's game with dancing mats and Taiko drums. Why not try this classic action before?
Like the Soul series, Ninja Gaiden 2 also takes a certain amount of time to get started, but if you are immersed in it, you will not be disappointed. After the failure of Ninja Gaiden 3, the series no longer has a sequel, but if you are waiting for Elden Ring, you might as well try Ninja Gaiden 2 first.
Dishonored
The greatest pleasure of the Dishonored series created by Arkane Studio is that although the levels are not a complete sandbox, the degree of freedom is quite high. Players can choose to sneak in quietly without hurting the innocent; they can also choose to kill and avenge everyone. Although the series is still producing a sequel, given the scale of the Arkane studio and the meticulous workmanship, it is unlikely that we will be able to play the updated works soon. So while we are waiting for the sequel, let us review the first generation first.
