05/20 Weapon Changes list in detail of Call of Duty Modern Warfare

As you probably know (at least your hard drive is still crying), Call of Duty Modern Warfare have been updated with new content and multiple fixes . Many weapons in Call of Duty Modern Warfare have also been balanced as a result of this update, and we will see together which are less effective and which are getting away with it.

List of weapon changes in the latest update to Call of Duty Modern Warfare
  • Renetti : It was announced by the developers, after having nerved the .357, the new pistol introduced a few weeks ago was going to be the following. His burst mode a little too effective in Akimbo in Warzone was right:
    • Reduction of its maximum possible ammunition reserve, going from 135 to 90.
    • Equipped with the Mk3 burst fire breech:
      • Increased dispersion when shooting at the hip.
      • Even greater increase in dispersion of hip shot with Mk3 + Akimbo breech.
      • Reduced damage to no longer allow a single close burst to kill. Removed the damage bonus x2 when fired at the head.
      • Massive damage reduction combined with Akimbo to go from a potential of 3 to 4 close shots to kill pre-patch to 4-5 post-patch shots, and up to 7 ranged. Without missing any shot, it will therefore take two bursts in Akimbo, or even more in case of a miss or at a distance. Given that we can fire 2 weapons at the same time (so 6 bullets in a few milliseconds), this seems reasonable as a balance. For Warzone, multiply the number of shots required by 2.5 maximum.
  • FAL :
    • Reduced time to aim from 10 to 15 milliseconds. Negligible and practically imperceptible.
  • SCAR :
    • Reduced time to aim by around 35ms (317ms), which makes it a little more competitive, especially by adding accessories that reduce this delay even more. This is a welcome change for this weapon which clearly lacked interest at this level compared to the others.
  • Sniper glasses :
    • Reduced penalty for holding your breath too long.
  • Machine guns :
    • The reload alert will appear later, with fewer bullets remaining to fire than before.
  • VLK Rogue :
    • Increased rate of fire from 136 rounds per minute to 147.
    • Increase in the basic lethal range in standard 12 caliber from 4.1m to 5.3m.
    • Increased the lethal range of the 6 "barrel to 4.3m, more than the standard range of the basic pre-patch weapon, with a speed bonus given by the reduced barrel.
  • Holger 26 :
    • Movement speed increased from 92% to 92.5%.
    • Significant reduction in time to aim, from 450ms to 400ms. Which now makes it the fastest machine gun to shoulder in the game.
    • Significant reduction in recoil.
    • Canon FTAC Spitfire 8.98 ":
      • Reduction here also important of the time to aim, from 384ms to 334ms (this with the magazine 100 shots for reminder).
      • Increased movement speed bonus from 2% to 3.5%.
      • Very slight reduction in dispersion of -5%.
    • Canon XRK Ultralight:
      • Significant reduction of the time to aim from 417ms to 317ms (always with the magazine of 100 shots).
    • 30 round magazine:
      • Reduced the exit delay of the normal sprint to shoot, from 284ms to 200ms.
      • Massive reduction of the tactical sprint exit time to shoot, from 500ms to… 284ms. Better delay than the "real" assault rifle in the rest of the game.
      • Significant reduction in time to aim from 400ms to 317ms.
      • Very minimal increase in movement speed bonus.
      • Slight reduction in dispersion of -8%.
    • Without butt:
      • Reduced time to aim from 417ms to 334ms.
      • Reduced the exit delay of the normal sprint to shoot, from 284ms to 250ms.
      • Significant reduction in the tactical sprint to fire exit delay from 500ms to 334ms.
      • Increased movement speed bonus by 4%.
      • Dispersion reduction of -12%.
    • Dotted handle:
      • Reduced time to aim from 417ms to 350ms.
With all these changes of Call of Duty Modern Warfare, the Holger 26 finally finds its place as a hybrid: between assault rifles and machine guns. More effective at medium and short range than the latter, but not necessarily better than “meta” assault rifles at these distances (in particular due to its lower rate of fire than the M4, GRAU, RAM7, etc.). It will nevertheless be much more competitive than before, especially with the right accessories reducing the aiming time which will put it practically shoulder to shoulder with assault rifles, your undeniable (?) Talent doing the rest.
